At various and significant times over the year gather on a Sunday evening at 7pm to pray using music to express the words of scripture and to bring our deepest needs and longings before God. We use the songs and music of the Taizé community which had its beginnings and continues to thrive in Taizé, France. Evensong is a form of evening prayer that highlights music to convey our prayer which has its foundations in the scriptures for much of the service. Together, we listen to God's Word, sing psalms, canticles, and pray for the world and one another in a meditative, contemplative way that brings our voices together to praise, give thanks, intercess and simply lay ourselves before God. The service lasts about an hour followed by a time of refreshments and fellowship.
