This Sunday, March 21st is the 5th Sunday of Lent. We welcome one and all to join our livestream service beginning at 10am. A service sheet is attached here.
In the Gospel this week, Jesus reminds his disciples and all of us 'unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.' He is preparing them all for that will soon happen to him. It gives us pause to reflect on what must die in any of us for the fruit to be born. Pure self-interest must die. Racism must die. Misogyny must die. Injustice must die. And the list goes on. What would you add to the list?
The Bells Newsletter - Also attached is the Bells Newsletter which has loads of information about the services for Holy Week, including Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. We are looking forward to our Easter Celebrations on Easter Day, April 4th. There will be the opportunity for us to receive communion. Pleae read the Bells to find out how we will accomplish this in a socially safe way.
Church Grounds Clean Up - If you would like to help out with our grounds clean up day taking place next Saturday, March 27th from 10am to 12 noon, information about what will be done that morning is found in the newsletter.
