Sunday Ministry Teams You will know from the service sheet that there is a team of people who offer a variety of gifts and talents for each Sunday.  Many hands make light work for our gathering, worship and fellowship week by week. We are looking to strengthen our teams and would like to invite you to offer yourself to be a part of one or more of these teams.  Each team is on a rota.  The schedule is organized by Marion O’Byrne.  Her efficiency ensures that everyone knows where they are scheduled well ahead of time.  If you can’t make it on any particular Sunday someone else fills in for you.  It is a simple as that. We plan to approach everyone but don’t wait to be asked!  We would particularly like to strengthen the following teams: Fellowship Team (coffee hour), Greeting Team, Servers, and Readers of the Lessons. Don’t forget we also have the altar guild and choir if you are interested in either of these. Training, guidance, mentoring, coaching, and help goes along with being a member of a team.  You will be working alongside people who have had many years of experience and who would welcome your participation.  Teams are made up of people of all ages, shapes and sizes.  We are equal opportunity here at St. Helen’s.  A sheet will be going around over the next few weeks and Steve and one or two others will be talking to everyone.  

Parish Directory – Some time ago work was started on a new parish directory which had been about 50% completed when it went into hibernation.  A parish directory is a booklet of photos of church members with names below so that everyone can put a face to a name and a name to a face.  A directory also ensures the parish has everyone’s correct postal and phone details etc. These are not put out in the published directory but are kept in the parish and not shared outside of the parish leadership.  We did a lot of the address and phone details last spring so now it is more a matter of finishing the photographs.  Confidentiality is respected and paramount regarding contact information.  It’s now time the directory project came out of hibernation and it could actually be completed quite quickly with a few people to help.  If you are interested in helping bring this to completion, please speak with our rector, Steve.
