Gardening Bee Thank you to everyone who came out for the gardening bee last Saturday. There was a great deal accomplished along our 128 Street border. We all had a lovely lunch following the hard work of the morning. Thanks to Jean Robertson for organizing the work and to Joan MacDonald for getting the lunch ready and those who helped. There is more work to be done over the summer.
Picket Fence along 128 Street You might have noticed that we are working to clear the brush along 128 Street. This work has been undertaken in order to extend the picket fencing along the whole of our property boundary. Les Foulds has been hired to complete the fencing project. The cost of this work is being met from the cemetery account. In addition to this there will be some pruning and shaping of the Holly Trees at the east end of the church.

Canada Day Weekend - A Prayer for the Nation – Almighty God, you have given us this good land as our heritage. May we prove ourselves a people mindful of your generosity and glad to do your will. Bless our land with honest industry, truthful education, and an honourable way of life. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance; and from every evil course of action. Make us who came from many nations with many different languages a united people. Defend our liberties and give those whom we have entrusted with the authority of government the spirit of wisdom, that there may be justice and peace in our land. When times are prosperous, let our hearts be thankful; and, in troubled times, do not let our trust in you fail. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
